The Town has hired Toole Design to analyze several factors that impact parking and public realm design decisions in the down- town. The MBTA reconstruction, changes to on-street parking due to COVID-19, and impacts related to new development have impli- cations for how we shop, park, dine, bike, walk, drive, and enjoy the downtown. We invite you to a kickoff meeting with Toole De- sign, Select Board members, and Town staff to gain initial feed- back on the management concerns of the center. This analysis will inform the town on short and long-term demand and help guide other policies for the area. The scope of Toole’s work is at- tached and outlines all the work to be performed as part of the parking study, which is only a portion of the total ~$80,000 Downtown Improvement Action Plan (DIAP).
